The Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Intern will support installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of plant instrumentation, Distributed Control System (DCS), protection systems, and associated control equipment within the Menengai Geothermal Power Plant. The role provides structured hands-on exposure during both the construction/commissioning phase and the transition into operations. The Intern will work under the supervision of the Instrumentation and Control Engineer and in accordance with Globeleq’s HSESS framework, as well as EPC, PISSA, PPA, LTSA, and O&M requirements. This internship is designed to build practical competence in geothermal power plant automation and control systems while contributing to plant safety, availability, and operational performance. Key responsibilities include assisting in installation, configuration, and testing of instrumentation devices; supporting planned preventive maintenance and troubleshooting; collecting and analyzing instrumentation data; and maintaining accurate documentation. Applicants should have a diploma or degree in a relevant field, knowledge of industrial instrumentation and control systems, proficiency in MS Office, and good communication skills. Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement is essential.
